  • Previously known as Geosmithia and Penicillium species
  • Causes invasive fungal infections in the lungs of immunocompromised patients, especially CGD and hematopoietic stem cell transplant patients
    • Can also cause disseminated disease
  • May be treated with posaconazole, voriconazole, caspofungin, or combination therapy
  • Mortality is about 40%
