Microbiology

• Norovirus
• Sapovirus
• Rotavirus
• Adenovirus
• Astrovirus

Clinical Manifestations

• Incubation period 24 to 60 hours
• Nausea, diarrhea, vomiting; can have abdominal pain, at times severe
• Half have fever
• Symptoms usually last 12 to 60 hours
  • Norovirus: 48 horus
  • Rotavirus: 2 to 7 days

Management

• Supportive, with focus on rehydration if needed
