Antimicrobial that inhibits dihydrofolic acid synthesis
Indications include toxoplasmosis, malaria, and Nocardia
Adverse events include
- GI intolerance
- Pruritic rash
- Bone marrow suppression of any line
- Serum sickness and drug fever
- Crystal-induced nephropathy
- Photosensitivity
- Hepatitis
