Background

  • Inflammation of the cornea

Etiology

Clinical Manifestations

  • Red, painful eye with foreign body sensation
  • Decreased visual acuity
  • Tearing ± purulent discharge (depending on etiology)
  • Corneal edema
  • Fluorescein dye may help visualize corneal ulcerations
