  • CTA or MRA to noninvasively confirm the diagnosis
  • Duplex ultrasound of temporal arteries, looking for halo sign to suggest GCA
  • CBC, creatinine, liver panel, ESR/CRP
  • Blood cultures, for bacterial cause
  • Syphilis serology
  • Tuberculin skin test
  • Rheumatology panel: ANA, ANCA, RF
