- Infectious
- Non-infectious
Epidemiology
- More common in children, but can happen at any age
Clinical Manifestations
- Shock
- Widespread purpura secondary to disseminated intravascular coagulation
- Rapidly-developing adrenal insufficiency from bilateral adrenal hemorrhage
