Differential Diagnosis

  • Any non-pregnancy cause of fever
  • Viral
  • Bacterial

Investigations

  • The usual infection investigations: CBC, lytes, creat, blood +/- urine cultures, NP swab if the right season, other investigations depending on clinical context
  • Make sure to get liver enzymes and urinalysis for non-infectious pregnancy complications
  • Consider CXR if there are respiratory symptoms
  • Fetal non-stress test

Management

  • Supportive care
  • Treat underlying cause
