Differential Diagnosis

Investigations

  • The usual infection investigations: CBC, electrolytes, creatinine, blood +/- urine cultures, NP swab if the right season, other investigations depending on clinical context
  • Make sure to get liver enzymes and urinalysis for non-infectious pregnancy complications
  • Consider CXR if there are respiratory symptoms
