Background
- Antiprotozoal medication
Indications
- Malaria, in combination with proguanil (atovaquone-proguanil)
- Babesiosis, in combination with azithromycin
- Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia prophylaxis or treatment (mild)
Dosing
- Pneumocystis pneumonia (prophylaxis): 1500 mg p.o. once daily
- Pneumocystis pneumonia (treatment, mild-to-moderate): 750 mg p.o. twice daily
