• Antimicrobial that inhibits dihydrofolic acid synthesis
• Indications include toxoplasmosis, malaria, and Nocardia
• Adverse events include
  • GI intolerance
  • Pruritic rash
  • Bone marrow suppression of any line
  • Serum sickness and drug fever
  • Crystal-induced nephropathy
  • Photosensitivity
  • Hepatitis
