- Species of Gram-negative bacillus within the genus Aggregatibacter
- Previously grouped within the genus Actinobacillus
- Oral flora in humans, associated with periodontitis
- Also a member of the HACEK group of causes of infective endocarditis
- Generally quite susceptible to ceftriaxone and fluoroquinolones, as well as ampicillin and doxycycline1
