Examination

  • Palpation
    • Normal PMI
    • May have palpable P2 or RV heave in pulmonary hypertension
  • Auscultation
    • Loud, snapping S1
    • ± opening snap (OS)
      • Severe disease shortens the duration between S1 and OS
      • Best heard at PMI in LLD
