Definition

  • Clinical evaluation of the oropharynx that predicts difficult laryngoscopy
  • Class I: soft palate, tonsillar pillars and uvula are visible
  • Class II: soft palate and base of uvula are visible
  • Class III: soft palate alone is visible
  • Class IV: hard palate alone is visible
