Background

Clinical Manifestations

  • Usually asymptomatic colonization
  • Symptoms attributed to it include diarrhea and abdominal pain not otherwise explained

Management

  • Metronidazole 500 mg p.o. qid for 10 days may be appropriate if symptomatic
