Indications

  • To treat Gram-positive line infections when the line can't be removed

Order Set

  • Instill antibiotic lock solution into the lumen(s) using the appropriate volume based on the catheter type
  • When the CVC is needed for medications:
    • Withdraw the antibiotic lock solution
    • Flush with 0.9% NaCl
    • Administer the ordered medication
    • Flush with 0.9% NaCl
    • Instill new antibiotic lock solution
