- Definite cholangitis requires all of the following:
- Signs of systemic inflammation, including fever >38°C and/or rigors, or elevation of inflammatory blood markers (WBC <4 or >10, or CRP ≥1 mg/dL)
- Signs of cholestasis, such as jaundice (total bilirubin ≥2 mg/dL), abnormal liver function (ALP, GGT, AST, or ALT >1.5x, and biliary function tests
