- Primarily affects the lower legs, with petechial or urticarial rash, either itchy or painful
- Spares the foot and ankle compressed by socks
- Triggered by strenuous exercise such as running or prolonged hiking, especially in the heat
- Self-limited, resolving after a few days
- Should rule out other vasculitides, autoimmune disorders, and coagulopathies
- Can be treated with NSAIDs, topical steroids, and leg elevation
