Differential Diagnosis

  • Idiopathy
  • Connective tissue diseases, including Marfan syndrome and Ehler-Danlos syndrome

Clinical Manifestations

  • Headache that is worse on standing and relieved supine

Investigations

  • Lumbar puncture, with opening pressure measured in lateral decubitus

Management

  • Caffeine
  • Bed rest
  • Hydration
  • Consider epidural blood patch (by Anaesthesia)
