Management

Same as pancreatitis: bowel rest, fluids, narcotics, and advance diet as tolerated
In addition, immediately start IV insulin R at 0.1-0.3 units/kg/h concurrent with D10W titrated to maintain euglycemia
Should discharge with fibrate
