- Species of Gram-positive anaerobic coccus
Clinical Manifestations
- Most commonly associated with intraabdominal and female genitourinary tract infections
- Has also been found in infections (almost always abscess with mixed growth) of the brain, ear, jaw, pleura, blood, spinal fluid, and joint fluid
- Case reports of endocarditis
