Indications

Dose

Usual dose is 150-200 mcg/kg PO

Adverse Effects

Occasionally causes Mazzotti-type reaction in onchocerciasis, characterized by fever; pruritus, tender lymphadenopathy, arthralgias and myalgias
Rarely causes hypotension
