- Salmonella enterica subsp. typii and paratyphii
Diagnosis
- Blood cultures (large volume, like x4), stool cultures, bone marrow
- Biopsy (most sensitive)
Management
- Treatment with 3rd gen cephalosporins
- Avoid FQs due to high resistance rate
