- Motile Gram-positive bacillus that is [Has catalase test::catalase-negative]] and oxidase-negative
- Causes skin and soft tissue infections with lymphangitic spread following meat exposure (such as butcher)
- Intrinsically resistant to vancomycin
- Can treat with penicillin or ampicillin
