Investigations

  • CSF1
    • Abnormal in 80% of CNS lymphomas
    • Normal cell counts in 30-60% of cases
    • Protein normal in 30-55% of cases
    • Can result in hypoglycorrhachia (median of 4.1 mmol/L but below 0.8 mmol/L in up to 20% of patients)
    • Cytology can be diagnostic
