Background

Mechanism of Action

  • Relebactam improves activity against beta-lactamases including class A and C
  • Also includes cilastatin, as per usual with imipenem

Spectrum of Activity

  • Active against Enterobacterales including ESBL, AmpC, and KPC, Bacteroides, MDR Pseudomonas
  • No activity against many Gram-positives or afermentative Gram-negatives
