- Usual dose is 150-200 mcg/kg PO or SC once

Adverse Effects
- Most common side effects are mild, including pruritus (25.3%), headache (13.9%), and dizziness (7.5%)
- Occasionally causes Mazzotti-type reaction in onchocerciasis, characterized by fever, pruritus, tender lymphadenopathy, arthralgias and myalgias
- Rarely causes hypotension
