Background
- 1 in 700 transfusion, but more common in critically ill patients
Clinical Manifestations
- Dyspnea, orthopnea, tachycardia, hypertension, and elevated JVP
Management
- Stop transfusion
- Chest x-ray
- Supportive care
- Diuretics as needed
- Restart at lower rate, if safe
