Indications
Dose
- Usual dose is 150-200 mcg/kg PO
Adverse Effects
- Occasionally causes Mazzotti-type reaction in onchocerciasis, characterized by fever; pruritus, tender lymphadenopathy, arthralgias and myalgias
- Rarely causes hypotension
