Diseases

  • Oral candidiasis
    • 90% of patients without another underlying risk factor (DM, antibiotics, dentures, or inhaled steroids) will develop AIDS in 1 year
  • Oral hairy leukoplakia
    • White patches on the side of the tongue that cannot be scraped off
