Indications
- To treat Gram-positive line infections when the line can't be removed
Order Set
- Instill antibiotic lock solution into the lumen(s) using the appropriate volume based on the catheter type
- When the CVC is needed for medications:
- Withdraw the antibiotic lock solution
- Flush with 0.9% NaCl
- Administer the ordered medication
- Flush with 0.9% NaCl
- Instill new antibiotic lock solution
