  • Slowly progressive neurodegenerative condition

Clinical Manifestations

  • Average time from onset to diagnosis is 1 to 10 years
  • Initially presents with sensorineural hearing loss and slowly progressive cerebellar ataxia
  • The classic triad, which is uncommon, including hearing loss, ataxia, and myelopathy
  • Symptoms progress chronically and slowly
