Background
- Native vertebral osteomyelitis caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis
Clinical Manifestations
- In children, prefers low cervical or upper thoracic vertebrae
- In adults, can present in any vertebra but thoracic and lumber are more common
Investigations
- Multiple core biopsies
Management
- Similar to other bone and joint infections with TB
