Paraneoplastic limbic encephalitis

- Primarily associated with anti-Hu antibodies, but can be seen with anti-Ta and anti-Ma antibodies
- Most commonly associated with small cell lung cancer, followed by testicular cancer (20%) and breast cancer (8%)
- MRI may show typical findings on T2 and FLAIR sequences of hyperintensity in one or both medial temporal lobes
