Member of the
Enterobacteriaceae
Causes disease mostly in plants, and rarely in humans
Found on plants, on buckwheat, and in human feces
About 20 species, of which human diseases have been described with
P. agglomerans

P. brenneri

P. conspicua

P. eucrina
, and
P. septica

Reliably susceptible to
meropenem
and
amikacin

chloramphenicol

doxycycline

gentamicin

cotrimoxazole
