Background

  • Rare but severe complication of SARS-CoV-2 infection

Clinical Presentation

  • More common in younger adults than older, and in men than women1
  • Most commonly causes fever (90%)
  • Often causes hypotension, cadiac dysfunction, dyspnea, and diarrhea (>50%)
  • Myocarditis in a third
