Meninges

- Three meninges: dura mater (outermost), arachnoid mater (middle), and pia mater (innermost)
- Grouped into pachymeninges (dura mater) and leptomeninges (arachnoid mater and pia mater)
- Several potential spaces exist: epidural space (outside the dura mater), subdural space (between dura mater and arachnoid mater), and subarachnoid space (between arachnoid mater and pia mater)
