Gabapentin

- Anti-epileptic medication used off-label for a number of indications
- Indications include epilepsy, post-herpetic neuralgia, and diabetic neuropathy
- Half-life 5-7 hours
- Requires renal adjustment
- Adverse effects include CNS depression, respiratory depression, and death (particularly when used with other CNS depressants)
- Also commonly causes edema, somnolence, dizziness, ataxia, and depression
