Frey syndrome

Background
- Caused by damage to the facial nerve most commonly from parotid gland surgery
- Also called auriculotemporal syndrome
Clinical Manifestations
- Recurrent episodes of gustatory sweating in the distribution of the auriculotemporal nerve
- May have associated flushing or erythema
