Background
Epidemiology
- Associated with ingestion of water plants, classically watercress
Clinical Manifestations
- Acute: triad of fever, right upper quadrant pain, and high-grade eosinophilia
- Chronic: largely asymptomatic
Diagnosis
- Serology is mainstay of diagnosis, especially during acute phase
- Eventually can see eggs in stool, biliary system, or duodenal aspirate
Management
- Triclabendazole 10 mg/kg PO for 1-2 days
